Bentham Bonfire
Bentham Community Bonfire 2021 - CANCELLED

After a long discussion and much debate, it is with deep regret that we have made the difficult
decision to cancel this year’s Bonfire and Firework Display.
The level of uncertainty in regards to any future lockdowns makes arranging a large public
event difficult. Given the contracts, fundraising, deposits and arrangements we need to enter
into, we need a full attendance to make the event break even financially. Should it be another
lockdown or simply the weather takes a turn for the worse, as a community event, we cannot
afford to spend funds with the risk of the event having a limited turn out or not going ahead at
all.
We will be making plans for the event to return in 2022 and to ensure the event returns with a
bang we are on the hunt for a new committee member. If this is something that you would be
